Nanci Garcia, QMHP

Case Manager

Nanci Garcia-Montalvo is a dedicated Case Manager at Aadhar Mental Health Services, holding a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from San Francisco State University. She brings a strong foundation in behavioral health and a genuine passion for supporting individuals on their path to stability and growth. Nanci is also bilingual (English and Spanish).

During her time in San Francisco, Nanci worked as a Residential Crisis Counselor at an Acute Diversion Unit with Progress Foundation, a nonprofit mental health organization. In this role, she gained extensive hands-on experience working with individuals experiencing severe mental health challenges, often co-occurring with substance use. She provided crisis intervention, facilitated psychoeducational groups, supported medication management, and delivered one-on-one counseling and case management services.

Nanci describes this experience as deeply meaningful, emphasizing the mutual growth that occurred in her work: “Both my clients and I contributed to the learning—we taught each other.” She values building authentic connections and believes that simply taking the time to listen and understand each person is a powerful part of the healing process.

In her current role, Nanci is committed to helping clients navigate systems of care, develop coping skills, and work toward achieving a fulfilling and independent life.

Outside of her professional work, Nanci prioritizes health and wellness. She enjoys weight training, reading, and exploring her new city after relocating from the Bay Area. She also loves spending time near the water and makes it a point to visit the “beach” (its not a real beach here) whenever she can.
