Lindsey Hampton, is originally from Watauga, Texas, and earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Communication Studies from The University of Texas at Austin. She later earned her Master of Social Work degree from Columbia University School of Social Work in New York, NY. She served as an AmeriCorps VISTA volunteer in Austin and as a Peace Corps Community Health and Economic Development volunteer in Uganda, East Africa. She has almost 20 years of experience as a social worker both with non-profit organizations and municipalities where she focuses on designing, implementing, and evaluating anti-poverty and health equity initiatives supporting the most vulnerable members of the community. Lindsey is currently pursuing her LCSW licensure. She enjoys live music, stand-up comedy, documentaries, spending time with family and friends and all things outdoors.
